The NZI Wellington Sevens

This Friday & Saturday been was the Wellington Sevens. We ended up with a house full of Romans with a carload of mates driving down from Hamilton on Thursday night to stay with us.

We went with Brendon & Keryn, along with Keryn's brother & his girlfriend. We had a brilliant time, I love it as an event. The atmosphere is unbelievable with over 90% of the crowd dressing up. The costume below was one of my favourites with the guy turning his whole wheelchair into a DIY Dalek. He had a whole string of people wanting to take their photo with him, including those pesky Romans who just kept on popping up everywhere...

These 'cowboys with a difference' were bit of a crowd favourite...

I also loved the Pohoutakawa ladies. There was a big bunch of them & they looked spectacular when they were all together.

Brendan is a keen photographer & he made friends with the guy in the mask who had serious lens envy!

Lets not forget this was actually a sporting competition! The good news is that the men in black came out on top. The perfect way to end an awesome weekend.
